The production technology and the engineering development of large-volume surfactants have already approached or reached the world advanced level. The product quality is also making constant improvement and getting linked to the international market. The research and development of small-volume functional surfactants is brisk and is going in depth. There is however still a considerable gap with advanced countries. It will therefore be one of the main tasks in future to accelerate the research, development and production of functional surfactants and special surfactants.
